Rubbish and fly-tipping

It's very sad and such a nuisance to see that fly-tipping is affecting our community. Unfortunately, tenants are suffering due to the inconsiderate actions of others.

We do take this very seriously. We always try to clear areas within 24 hours of a report, but some more complex issues may take up to five working days.

In the six months to August 2023 we spent £22,470 on clearing bulk waste, and the annual cost (2023/24) to us of litter picking comes to £36,615.

Report fly-tipping

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste, whether it's a single bag or a vehicle-load of rubbish. We work with the local authority to ensure that wherever possible offenders are prosecuted. Fly-tipping is punishable by an unlimited fine or imprisonment.

If you see any waste dumped on Red Kite-owned land please tell us as soon as possible using this form. All information is useful so tell us as much as you can, including the number plate of any vehicle being used.

If the fly-tipping is on land belonging to the local authority or a private owner, please use FixMyStreet to report the problem. If you are not sure who the landowner is, use this form, and we will find out.
