Work has now been completed to improve the communal kitchen and laundry room at Gweneth Court, following feedback from tenants.
Before the project began, we met with tenants to understand what was important to them and gather their ideas on how the spaces could better meet their needs. Working closely with contractor FSG, we used this feedback to help shape the improvements.
Gweneth Court is the first of our sheltered schemes to benefit from these upgrades.
Once the work was complete, we returned to meet with tenants, along with representatives from FSG, to hear what they thought of the finished facilities. Tenants shared positive feedback about the improvements and raised a small number of snagging issues, which were discussed and actioned where needed.
The visit also provided an opportunity to talk about other ways tenants can get involved and access support available through Red Kite.
The project highlights the importance of listening to tenants and involving them throughout the process. By gathering feedback before and after work takes place, we can make sure improvements meet the needs of the people who use our services every day and continue making changes where needed.
