Tenants can now read all the questions submitted during our first ever Tenant Question Time, along with the answers provided by our panel on the night.
The event, held on 20th August, brought together tenants and Red Kite colleagues for an open and honest discussion about antisocial behaviour (ASB), giving tenants the opportunity to ask questions directly to the people responsible for delivering and shaping our services. Thirteen tenants took part, with nine attending in person and four joining online.
The session was introduced following feedback from tenants who told us they wanted more opportunities to speak directly with our teams and senior managers, better understand how services are delivered, and have a greater role in influencing future improvements.
Questions were submitted in advance and answered by a panel including Nicola Botterill, Head of Community, Chief Operating Officer Darren Mealings, Paul Sibley, ASB Team Leader, and Kayode Olatuyi from Alternatives to Conflict. The discussion was facilitated by Tim Morton and covered a wide range of topics, including how ASB cases are investigated, communication with tenants, partnership working, and the support available to those experiencing antisocial behaviour.
Throughout the evening, tenants shared their experiences and asked challenging questions, helping us gain a deeper understanding of what matters most to them. The panel welcomed the opportunity to explain how services work, listen to feedback and discuss where improvements can be made.
Following the event, Darren reflected on the value of hearing directly from tenants:
"Listening to the lived experience of our tenants was priceless. The biggest takeaways for me were making sure we do not lose sight of the impact ASB can have on our tenants and the need to improve our feedback and communications with tenants during what can be a very lengthy process to address ASB."

It's an opportunity to take a closer look at how we deliver the service, challenge us on what's working and what could be improved, and help influence future changes.
