The Big Door Knock

The Big Door Knock is an annual opportunity for Red Kite colleagues to get out into our communities, meet tenants face to face and hear directly about their experiences of living in a Red Kite home.

We know many people choose to contact us online or by phone, but in-person conversations are important too. They help us understand what matters most to our tenants and how we can continue to improve our services.

As a tenant-led organisation, we believe it's important to be proactive in seeking the tenant voice, not simply waiting for people to come to us. The Big Door Knock gives us the chance to listen, learn and build a better understanding of the people and communities we serve.

During the Big Door Knock, colleagues visit tenants in their homes and communities to have informal conversations about what's working well, where improvements could be made and the things that matter most to them. Feedback gathered through these conversations helps shape future improvements and supports our commitment to putting tenants at the heart of what we do.

The Big Door Knock also supports our Knowing Our Tenants project. By keeping information about our households up to date, we can better understand our communities, communicate more effectively and make sure we're providing the right support when it's needed.
