Coffee mornings are a fantastic opportunity for our brilliant tenant volunteers to come into the office and engage in meaningful conversations with both staff and fellow volunteers.
Last week, we held a creative pottery making session alongside our regular tenant volunteer coffee morning.
The session was led by Poppy Foster from Sureserve Compliance South. Poppy is not only a talented potter but also part of Sureserve’s team - one of our contractors who specialise in heating system installations. Poppy guided tenants through hand-building techniques to create their own unique mug or small vase.
Sureserve took time to engage with our tenants by offering fuel efficiency advice and sharing practical tips for saving energy, all while delivering a fun activity.
Poppy will be firing the pottery pieces and returning the finished creations in time for our Community Morning, where nine team members from Sureserve will be joining us at a Community Morning placement. See what we got up to during last year’s Community Morning.
There was a fantastic buzz in the room, with tenants not only engaging in the activity but also connecting with each other and with staff.
