Volunteering

Here at Red Kite, we couldn't achieve everything that we do without our amazing tenant volunteers. They make a positive difference in their community by helping to shape the services we provide. Our volunteers have an important role in making sure that we remain truly tenant-led through everything that we do.

Our volunteering opportunities

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities, from feeding back on new development plans, sitting on interview panels, and even becoming a Red Kite Champion. There's something to suit everyone depending on how you want to get involved, and how much time you want to spend with us.

Volunteering can help you learn new skills, gain experience and really help make a difference.

You can find out more about the different volunteering opportunities by following the links below, where you'll find out what's involved with each one, the support you'll receive, what you can gain from being involved, as well as hearing from current volunteers and staff members.

Our volunteer lifecycle

Engagement & Recruitment | Induction/Onboarding | Orientation & Integration | Ongoing Volunteer Management | Feedback & Recognition | Volunteer Impact Analysis | Volunteer Exit Process

This graphic shows the different stages of the volunteer lifecycle.

When we work with our volunteers we aim to identify and addresses obstacles and barriers within the volunteer journey. We understand the the importance of capturing and holding a volunteer's motivation early, and we use marketing, communications, and recruitment and retention strategies to enhance and maximise this volunteer lifecycle.

Here is the text from the image:

  • Engagement and Recruitment: Committed to diversity and inclusion in our engagement approach.
  • Induction/Onboarding: Robust process to ensure volunteers feel welcomed and prepared
  • Orientation and Integration: Reinforcing support and expectations to help volunteers feel confident
  • Ongoing Volunteer Management: Empowering and motivating volunteers through continuous support
  • Feedback and Recognition: Ensuring volunteers feel heard and celebrated for their contributions
  • Volunteer Impact Analysis: Telling the story behind the numbers to give a 360 degree view of volunteer impact
  • Volunteer Exit Process: An opportunity to gather feedback and to thank volunteers for their time and commitment
