Through our Springboard fund, we invest in charities, groups and organisations that make a positive difference in our communities. At the first funding panel of the 2026/27 financial year, tenant volunteers and Red Kite colleagues awarded £26,000 to three local organisations supporting families, young people and communities across our area.
High Wycombe Child Contact Centre received £11,000 to help continue its work supporting children and families following family breakdown. The volunteer-led charity provides a safe space where children can rebuild relationships with non-residential parents. The funding will help the organisation manage increasing costs and continue delivering this important service to local families.
Wycombe Youth Action was awarded £7,500 to be put towards its Knife Crime Prevention Programme. The project works with around 1,200 young people each year through school assemblies, workshops, mentoring and youth club activities. Its aim is to help young people make positive choices and avoid becoming involved in knife crime, gangs and antisocial behaviour.
St Andrew's Community Hub received £7,500 to support a range of services that help improve mental health and wellbeing. These include low-cost counselling, a weekly mental health café, family support groups and activities for parents and young children.
The funding will help these organisations continue delivering valuable services that make a positive difference to local people.
