On Wednesday, we carried out a litter pick along Spearing Road service road.
We partnered with Chiltern Rangers and Thames Valley Police as part of the Castlefield Intensive Engagement project.
Our contractor SPB organised two skips, which we filled! Special thanks to SPB for this, as the second skip was arranged at very short notice. We also arranged for a pile of scrap metal to be collected separately by a scrap metal contractor after spotting a local Facebook post. This is an example of great team work!
Some of the items were very heavy so it was a difficult job. Residents came out after seeing us and helped tidy up, and a couple of councillors also turned up. We’re hoping to organise more events later this year.
