We’re reviewing our play areas to make sure they are safe, enjoyable and meet the needs of the people who use them – and we want to hear from you.
Our play areas are important spaces where children can have fun, be active and spend time with friends and family. We want to make sure they continue to provide spaces that work well for our communities, now and in the future.
Whether you use your local play area regularly, occasionally, or not at all, your views matter. We’d like to understand what you think works well, what could be improved and what changes would make a positive difference.
By completing our short survey, you can tell us:
- How often you use your local play area
- What equipment children enjoy using most
- What you would like us to keep, change or add
- If you don’t use the play area, what you would prefer to see in the space instead
- The ages of the children who use the play area, helping us understand whether the equipment meets the needs of different age groups.
Your feedback will help us prioritise future improvements and create play areas that better meet the needs of our communities.
To start with we’ll be prioritising those that are most in need, this includes the play areas at:
- Desborough Steet
- Conway House
- Cross Road
- Melbourne Road
- Bowerdean Road.
The survey, which closes on Monday 17th August, only takes a few minutes to complete.

Get involved
As the project moves forward, we’ll be looking for volunteers who can help give further feedback and work with us by reporting issues, helping us to keep them in the best condition possible for the community.
