Recently, our tenants at Chichester Close applied for our grant from our Starting Blocks fund. Starting Blocks is here to support individuals and entrepreneurs with smaller grants that help them to set up a business, project or event that makes a difference to the community. It can also be used by Red Kite tenants.
The tenants applied to have a pool of money they could dip into to pay for activities, trips, meals and more to bring the tenants of the Sheltered Scheme closer together.
We’re pleased to say that the application was successful, and our tenants took their first trip together in July.
They bundled onto a coach, went down to the seaside, enjoyed a lovely lunch and walked along the seafront.
The tenants have more planned over summer, we can't wait to see what else they use the money for.
