Recruiting for Group Board members
We are looking to recruit three new members of our Group Board.
These roles are paid positions; the Tenant Board member will receive £6,000 a year and the two Chair roles will receive £9,500 a year.
Red Kite is a tenant-led, not-for-profit, charitable housing association which owns and manages 6,600 homes all within 15 miles of High Wycombe, in the south of Buckinghamshire. Our tenants, leaseholders and shared owners take an active role in everything that we do. It is an enormously exciting time to be joining our Board. We have the group structure and financial resources in place to deliver some exciting plans and are seeking people that can bring experience, leadership, challenge and support to enable us to position our Board to help drive us and to work with us to realise our goals.
We are interested in attracting a range of applicants to maintain a strong skills mix and diversity within our Board. Applicants offering any of the following will be particularly welcomed:
- Leadership
- Business management
- Interest in our communities
- Customer services
- Finance
- Property and development.
Successful candidates might come from a range of sectors but will bring a commitment to make a real contribution to Red Kite.
As we move into a new phase of our strategic plan, we are looking for a tenant, leaseholder or shared-owner as our next Board member, someone who can bring insight, challenge, or lived experience of social hosuing, to help shape our future.
We are a tenant-led organisation, and this role is a vital part of ensuring that tenant voices remain central to our decision-making.
The recruitment pack will give you an overview of the role and what it involves. We hope it inspires you to apply and be part of an organisation committed to making a real difference to people’s homes and communities.

Candida Dutiro
Tenant Board Member on our Group Board
“Being a tenant Board member is about influence where it matters most, inside the decision-making process.
"I bring lived experience and evidence from our communities, and I use both to challenge, support, and strengthen the choices we make. I believe this has led to a clearer focus on warmer, safer homes.
"I’d recommend this opportunity to any tenant who wants to see real change. You don’t need a specific background. Your voice, your insight and a willingness to learn are what matter.”
