Helping tenants get back on top of their gardens

News
2 March 2026

Two of our tenants are feeling a huge sense of relief after their gardens were recently cleared, giving them a fresh start and a safer, more manageable space.

Both tenants live with complex mental health needs and had been finding it difficult to look after their outdoor areas. Over time, the gardens had become heavily overgrown, which led to concerns about pests, worries from neighbours, and increasing pressure on the tenants themselves.

Wanting to make sure they received the right support, our team explored different options to help. Our grounds maintenance contractor, John O’Conner, kindly offered to step in and carry out both garden clearances at no cost.

The difference is remarkable. The work has taken a weight off both tenants’ shoulders and most importantly, it means the tenants can now enjoy outdoor spaces that feel safe, tidy, and easier to manage.

This is a great example of how we find practical solutions that support our tenants’ wellbeing and help keep our neighbourhoods looking their best.
