We're committed to keeping our neighbourhoods safe, and sometimes that means taking formal action when serious and long‑running antisocial behaviour (ASB) affects other tenants. Following a complex case involving ongoing disruption and concerns about the condition of a home in High Wycombe, an eviction took place in February. This was only carried out after several years of support, monitoring and partnership work with other agencies, and after every opportunity was given for the situation to improve.
The behaviour linked to the home continued to have a significant impact on neighbours, with repeated disturbance, a high number of visitors and ongoing deterioration of the home that caused worry within the community. Throughout the case, we worked closely with partner organisations to offer support and help address the issues, but the behaviour persisted despite repeated attempts to resolve matters.
Eviction is always the last step we take, and only when all other options have been explored. After reviewing the evidence with partner agencies, the court granted us possession of the home, allowing us to bring the situation to a close.
The home has now been secured and will be refurbished before being returned to use.
This outcome will provide reassurance for neighbours who have been affected over many years. It reflects our ongoing commitment to tackling antisocial behaviour, supporting our communities and taking action where needed to make sure our neighbourhoods remain safe and welcoming places to live.
