We're extremely proud to announce that Pippa Smith, our Assistant Home Safety Specialist, has won the 'Rising Star' award at the 2025 ASCP Safety & Compliance Awards.
Pippa was nominated by her colleague, Home Safety Manager Alan Core, who recognised her outstanding work in tackling a complex gas capping issue. Alan praised Pippa's exceptional initiative, compassion, and impressive problem-solving abilities, saying:
"Pippa consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication and a strong commitment to tenant safety and wellbeing. She has consistently gone above and beyond, particularly in addressing the critical issue of tenants without or underutilising gas supplies."
Pippa thoroughly enjoyed attending the ASCP Conference and the awards ceremony. Reflecting on the event, she said:
"The ASCP conference is an amazing event for learning and bringing valuable insights back to Red Kite. I especially appreciated the sessions on heat pumps, HACT (Housing Associations’ Charitable Trust) funding, and the DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations).
"The awards ceremony is a fantastic opportunity to network and learn from other professionals. I was honoured to be nominated and absolutely amazed to win! I owe so much to the support of Alan and the entire Home Safety Team for their guidance over the past couple of years.”
