Notifying us of a death

You can use this form to tell us that a tenant has died.

If you were close to the tenant, please accept our condolences for your loss. We have lots of helpful information about coping with grief and loss. You are welcome to use this information whether you are a tenant of ours or not.

You can end a tenancy if you are an executor (a person already named in the will) or the administrator (this is someone who has applied to the Probate registry and obtained letters of administration to fulfil this function). You will need to give us four weeks' notice to end a tenancy. This is known as a Notice to Quit.

A next of kin or other person without this right cannot legally end a tenancy but they still have a vital role to play by telling us that someone has died. This form is not a Notice to Quit, but it will allow us to start that process with an executor or administrator, so please do inform us of the death by giving us some basic details today.
