Skills training and employment

Our aims are to help our tenants and those in our wider community to realise their potential and improve their lives. We want our tenants to sustain their tenancies and we support them to improve their lives, creating greater independence. If you’re looking for a job, to increase your household finances, or would like to lead a healthier and happier life, we can help.

We offer support and guidance for our tenants in their search for employment or a career change. We work with a range of local partners that can provide customised support for that new job.

Realising potential

Realising Potential

We want to empower you to realise your potential by helping you to make, meet, and exceed goals in both your personal and working life. In partnership with Twenty11, we are bringing you an unmissable opportunity to work with their Community Potential Specialists, who can support our tenants in a range of ways:

  • Video calls with a Community Potential Specialist to establish goals and set achievable first steps
  • Setting up a Personal Success Plan to visualise your goals
  • Access to our Aspiration Pot for funding towards courses, laptops, and equipment which will help you in completing your plan.

This service is completely free for you to use!

  • Want to find out more? Email contact@redkitehousing.org.uk and we'll be in touch to take some further details and assess whether the Realising Potential service is suitable for you.

We can provide one-to-one support and guidance to help you find a new job. We'll make the job search easier by supporting you in a range of activities with either ourselves or our partners. These include:

  • CV preparation
  • Interview skills and tips
  • Job applications
  • Employer introductions
  • Online profiles.

If you've ever thought of starting your own business, being self-employed can be one of the most rewarding things in life. It comes with its challenges and if you want to succeed it's essential to receive the right guidance and support.

We're lucky in Buckinghamshire to have professional guidance for people wanting to start their own business. If you're one of those people, visit Bucks Business First for handy tips, guidance and free courses.

If you want to increase your chances of securing employment, then undertaking training or work experience can be vital. We work with several different organisations and training providers that offer those opportunities. Look at our suggested training events or visit their websites for more options.

Volunteering can help you learn new skills, gain experience and really help make a difference.

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities, from feeding back on new development plans, sitting on interview panels, to becoming a Red Kite Champion. There's something to suit everyone depending on how you want to get involved, and how much time you want to spend with us.
