On Wednesday 25th March, Red Kite colleagues were joined by teams from John O’Conner and Sasse to take part in a litter pick in High Wycombe as part of the Great British Spring Clean.

This was the second litter pick organised, with the team focusing on the area around Mahoney Court. Most of the work took place in Desborough Street car park. While the car park is owned by the council, it’s close to many of our homes, and the clean up was carried out to support the wider community.

By the end of the session, around 40 bags of litter had been collected, along with several bulky waste items, which will be collected by the council.

The Great British Spring Clean is the country’s largest community led environmental campaign, run by Keep Britain Tidy. Each year, thousands of people come together to take pride in their local areas by picking up litter and helping to keep neighbourhoods clean and welcoming.

Taking part in the Great British Spring Clean reflects our commitment to caring for neighbourhoods and working in partnership to look after shared spaces for the benefit of everyone who lives there.
