On Monday 27th October, we hosted our 10th Red Kite Networking Event at our new Hampden Court offices, bringing together 29 external guests from 27 organisations, including the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council, Hightown Housing Association and SettleParadigm Housing.
The theme of Food Poverty sparked powerful conversations about the rising cost of living and how we can work collaboratively to support our communities. Guest speakers Charmaine Fyffe from Khepera and Shanti Wortman from Women’s Cultural Arena, shared inspiring examples of local action and partnership.

The morning began with a warm welcome from our Community Investment Specialist and Head of Resident and Community Engagement, followed by talks from our guest speakers, then onto introductions, information sharing, and a room buzzing with conversation. Lunch provided the perfect backdrop for continued networking.
Barbara from Community Matters attended the event and said:
“I want to tell you how much I enjoyed the Networking Event. I learned so much! For me the best part is when the attendees are encouraged to talk briefly about the charity they work for. It is truly awe inspiring to be in a room full of people who work hard in promoting 'Love your neighbour as yourself'.”
Nahida, our Community Investment Specialist who organised the event added,
“Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive and engaging session. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come, from our first online event during Covid to a packed room of passionate organisations working together to make a difference.”
Everyone left energised, and the space was filled with meaningful conversations that we hope will lead to lasting impact.
