We're very pleased to announce that we are ready to welcome tenants to our new development, Tiverton House in Gayhurst Road which is now complete.
The 24 high-quality homes for social rent — including a fully adapted two-bedroom flat — have been designed with comfort, accessibility, and sustainability in mind, with the development including Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points, two bin stores, and a secure cycle store.
What was once a row of old shops and flats is now a stunning development of new homes - an incredible transformation.

Nick Burston, our Director of Property and Development, said:
“We’re really pleased to complete Tiverton House. A lot of hard work has gone into making these new homes a reality.
“The homes are designed to offer excellent energy efficiency by including LED lighting throughout, reduced water consumption and high thermal insulation to address climate change and to reduce the bills our tenants will pay. We have included solar panels on the roof which are projected to generate enough electricity to save two tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
“The homes are for social rent, which is something that’s badly needed in this area. We’re proud to be helping meet that need.”

Social rent homes are there to provide affordable housing for those on lower incomes. The rent for these homes is set by government guidelines and is usually significantly lower than market rates. It's calculated using a formula that considers local income levels, property values, and the size of the home, ensuring that tenants can afford a safe and secure place to live.

Most of the 24 flats at Tiverton House have been viewed and accepted by Buckinghamshire residents eagerly awaiting keys to their new homes, with just a few remaining viewings scheduled.
Members of our Tenant Development Panel visited the new homes and gave overwhelmingly positive feedback, noting how perfectly it suits the surrounding area and how thoughtfully the homes have been designed to meet the needs of future tenants.

One tenant volunteer commented:
“I really am very impressed with these homes.”

These homes have been in development for several years, and despite a few setbacks, we did not waiver on our mission to build safe, warm and affordable homes for those in need.
We look forward to welcoming tenants and seeing Tiverton House become a vibrant part of the community.
