Meeting and greeting our new Maidenhead tenants

News
30 June 2025

We hosted a fantastic tenant meet-and-greet event in Maidenhead on Thursday 26th June, a great opportunity for our new tenants to connect with us, ask questions, and share their feedback. From 3pm to 7pm, our gazebo served as a central hub for conversations, with many tenants' specific concerns being addressed on the spot.

Around 20 tenants stopped by for a chat, while others benefited from immediate assistance with issues ranging from grounds maintenance queries and repairs to questions about home checks, property surveys, and accessing our online portal. Tenants also raised queries about the status of repairs reported to their previous landlord, succession rules, and the future of the garage blocks on the estate.

Jon, our Volunteering, Engagement & Events Manager, shared his enthusiasm for the event:

"It was brilliant to spend the afternoon meeting our new Maidenhead tenants. We learned that they really value the sense of community they’ve built together on the estate. The tenants we met were thrilled to have a landlord who takes notice of them, listens and responds.”

The event wasn't just about answering questions; it was also about gathering vital insights. We successfully completed 11 surveys on what matters most to our tenants, which will be instrumental in informing our forthcoming strategy updates. We also received five applications for Red Kite membership and had three individuals express interest in volunteering – a fantastic sign of growing engagement within the community.

Our staff members were also joined by two members of our Resident Representative Team, who gained valuable insights into the new estate, homes, and tenant priorities.

This successful event truly highlighted the importance of direct engagement and our commitment to actively listening and responding to the needs of our tenants. We look forward to more opportunities to connect with our tenants in the future!
