Santa spreads festive cheer with a helping hand from Red Kite

Wycombe Santa himself dropped by to our offices in December after we awarded him £2,000 of our community funding to help make Christmas extra special. The grant will go towards presents for Santa to distribute as part of a much-loved local tradition.

This wonderful initiative, run by the community for the community, does more than bring festive joy – it also supports an important cause. Each year, Wycombe Santa helps raise funds for Wycombe Food Hub, a charity dedicated to reducing food waste and supporting families facing food insecurity across the town. By combining festive fun with fundraising, the event makes a real difference where it matters most.

We’re proud to back projects like this through our Starting Blocks community funding programme, which helps turn great ideas into reality. It’s all part of our commitment to building strong, connected communities.
