We’re passionate about being a truly tenant-led organisation, and are always looking for new ways for our tenants to get involved.

On Tuesday 6th August, our office was buzzing with energy as we had a tenant takeover.

11 of our tenants came down to our office and attended an interactive workshop with Will, our Head of Property, and Umesh, Assistant Head of Property. The workshop was designed to explore tenant priorities for the new Asset Management Strategy currently being developed.

The discussion was structured around the following themes:

  • What would good, planned investment into your home look and feel like to you?
  • How should Red Kite inform and support you around planned investment work into your home?

Our tenant-led Asset Management group will monitor how the feedback received is fed into the development of the new strategy and give feedback to the Resident Representative Team (RRT) to ensure the voice of our tenants is being heard and acted upon.

Meanwhile, another tenant was playing an active role in recruiting vital new team members for our Finance team. Yvonne spent all afternoon in the office helping to interview prospective Finance Assistants, ensuring they understand our tenant-led culture.

And just down the corridor in our dedicated tenant room, Red Kite’s Head of Engagement, Sophie was having a chat with another tenant about potentially joining the Resident Representative Team (RRT). A number of current RRT members are approaching the end of their term on the group, so we’re ensuring we have enough tenants on the group to hold us to account in the future.
