This year’s annual Red Kite Community Housing Christmas Market was the best yet, with more than 200 visitors and 35 stallholders joining in the festive fun.
Every year we hold a market at our offices at Kingsmead Business Park, Loudwater, to help support local independent businesses and charities. This year included stalls run by ToolShed, Men in Sheds, Wycombe Wanderers Sports and Education Trust, Talk Back, and Lady Ryder Memorial Garden.
Many of the stallholders are also graduates from our business start-up courses which we offer free to people in the community.
Wycombe Santa also made a visit to the event, held on Wednesday 4th December, as well as Wycombe District Council’s chairman Cllr Paul Turner.
There was also free mince pies and mulled wine and entertainment provided by 1940s singing duo The Dulcet Tones.
Bazgha Sultana, Engagement & Events Manager at Red Kite said:
"This year’s event was brilliant, and we welcomed more people than ever before.
"At Red Kite we strive to be more than just a housing provider. We want to help realise the potential in our communities, which is why we organise and fund events such as the Christmas Market.
"Watching people we have supported through our business school doing well and starting their journey to a successful business is a fantastic feeling."
