On Monday 11th September we held our second Job Fair at Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe. The event was a great success and built significantly on our previous Job Fair in April. We’re delighted that this time round we had a whopping 547 people attend and 48 exhibitors, offering thousands of jobs both locally and nationally.
The intention this time was to provide an opportunity for people to talk to potential employers as they recruit in the lead up to Christmas. We were able to secure high street stores such as GAP, House of Fraser and Argos as well as local outlets TGI Fridays and Marston’s Brewery. There were also many exhibitors from a wide range of service areas, including Axis Europe and John O’Connor who provided opportunities in the construction industry.
It was also positive to see a number of our partners networking and arranging meetings in the future to assist each other to either provide support for their customers or grow their individual business.
Following initial discussions with exhibitors, at least 35 people so far have reached the second stage of interview process with four organisations and all of them have a great possibility to secure employment. We look forward to sharing further success stories from our second Job Fair as we continue to gather feedback from the event. In the meantime, check out our Job Fair video below:
