Greenway Court

Current status

Due to a contractor change, a new section 20 is being completed and we're hoping to start works early on in 2022.

We've been busy working through the specifications and plans for work that is due to Greenway Court.

What work are we doing?

  • Replacing windows to communal areas and Red Kite homes
  • Replacing the fascias, and rainwater pipes
  • Installing new soakaways for drainage
  • Replacing the cladding between windows
  • Replacing the main roof
  • Insulating to the new roof and cavity walls
  • Brickwork repairs including repointing and rendering
  • Replacing external handrails
  • Decorating the internal communal areas
  • Replacing the internal communal floor coverings.

Contractor change

Following a rigorous tender process to appoint a contractor, we previously announced that Kier Services had been appointed to carry out the works at Greenway Court. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing material and labour demands, Kier Services were unable to carry out the works for the agreed tendered sum.  

We've now managed to secure an alternative contractor to carry out the works, to the same specification and cost that was originally tendered for. 

We're pleased to announce that FSG Property Services Ltd will be undertaking the works. FSG have huge experience in carrying out these type of works and have a proven track record in completing similar projects for us. 

FSG Property Services has a dedicated team of Project Managers and Director level staff who will be overseeing this work alongside our own Project Manager, Kyle Oldershaw.

Due to the change in contractor, these works are now subject to a further section 20 process being completed. If the section 20 is successful we envisage works will commence in the early part of 2022. 

What happens next?

We're now busy working with our leaseholder team to carry out a successful section 20 consultation alongside our leaseholders at Greenway Court. Once completed, we'll notify our tenants with the dates we plan to start. 

Before work can start, we need to erect scaffolding to the blocks. This may cause some minor inconvenience, but once it's all in place there will be no access issues during the period of the work, which will take approximately 16 weeks to complete.

If you live in Greenway Court: We'll write to you again before the work begins, confirming the start and ends dates for the work. We'll also send a further newsletter half way through the work to update you on progress.
