We hosted another successful networking event on Tuesday 3rd December, bringing together a diverse range of organisations from across Buckinghamshire and beyond.
The event, led by Nahida, our Community Investment Specialist, fostered valuable connections and discussions among attendees. Nahida expressed her gratitude, saying:
“It was wonderful to see so many fantastic people doing incredible work in our community. This event continues to highlight the power of partnership and collaboration in supporting our community.”
Inspiring talks and creative energy
The event featured insightful talks from two speakers:
- Nicola Leavesley, CEO of Response, shared her organisation's remarkable work in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and housing challenges. From early intervention to independent living, Response is making a significant impact
- Kelly Saward from Room 478 captivated the audience with her creative energy and innovative approach. A guided meditation session provided a moment of relaxation and reflection.
With 49 attendees representing 34 different organisations, including Cllr Nathan Thomas, the Mayor of High Wycombe, the event showcased the growing network of support within the community.
Positive feedback
Lydia from Oasis Partnership enjoyed the event, commenting:
"Thank you again for a great event yesterday. I thought it was run really well and I've gained some new contacts.
"I also found it really insightful to hear about everything Red Kite does, it was a real learning experience for me, and I am blown away by how proactive your organisation is in supporting so many different causes. I find it very impressive!"
Another attendee was Ray from Careers Springboard, who said:
"I particularly liked the last session where representatives from the various groups introduced themselves and talked about their aims, the clients they serve, and the services they provide. This enabled us to identify the individuals we wanted to talk with and made the networking at the end a great success. My colleague Rory and I spoke to several people about potential collaboration."
Madeleine from The Tony & Sheelagh Williams Charitable Foundation added:
"Thank you for the invitation to the networking event today. I thought it was really excellent - well organised, good speakers and, really importantly, there was loads of time to network both before and after."
We're delighted we were able to facilitate such a productive and positive event, and are looking forward to hosting more in the new year.
