Our Springboard Fund

We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Springboard Fund, which gives £100,000 each year over 5 years to invest in your communities and is decided on by our Membership.

The criteria is set out below and here we are inviting members of the community to put in bids for a share of the funding.

Springboard Fund

On top of the £12million a year that we’re already investing in our homes with new kitchens, bathrooms and general maintenance, this new fund is all about people and projects that will realise people’s potential, create employment opportunities and positively contribute to our neighbourhoods.

To do this many people need that extra bit of help to get them on the road to improving themselves or their communities or both, and the Springboard Fund is our way for this to happen.

We want to ensure that the aspiring single parent, the family just about managing, and the entrepreneurs of this world are able to not just survive, but thrive. We have created the Springboard Fund to enable anyone, from any background or circumstance to have opportunity to access the funding they need to realise their potential…

Starting Blocks

Starting Blocks exists to help those who need funding quickly; throughout the year, ‘Starting Blocks’ grants (requests below £2000) are able to be quickly granted via an internal panel consisting of the Community Investment Manager and one member of our Customer and Community Insight Group (CCIG).

Examples include but are not limited to, gaining qualifications e.g. forklift drivers licence or a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing. Purchasing equipment to help with your small business, and anything else which could help realise your potential.
