Fire Risk Assessments to your Home
As part of our commitment in ensuring that we maintain safe places for our communities to live. We have reviewed the way that we carry out our fire risk assessments, and have now included additional areas to be inspected. These inspections are required to all properties located within a block, including sheltered schemes.
What Does this Mean?
This means that the contractor will be required to access your home, this will also allow for a full inspection of your front door and they will assess the compartmentalisation (This is the ability to stop a fire from spreading throughout the block). These inspections will also include our leaseholders, to ensure we have a full understanding of the full block.
How Can you Help?
You can help us by allowing our contractor access to your home to undertake these inspections. We will notify you when the contractor will be looking to carry out these inspections in a timely manner. During the inspection works our contractor will be in company branded clothing, the logo will match that on the letter you will receive. The inspection within your home should take no more than 30 minutes, this will involve visually inspecting each room, any loft space access and they will create a floor plan.
Am I Notified of the Outcome?
Yes, you will be notified of any risks within your home, this will include any recommendations to reduce or remove the risks.
