Red Kite staff help with community projects

7 May 2019

Painting, gardening and even making bird boxes were just some of the tasks Red Kite Community Housing staff took part in on Wednesday (May 1) during their annual Community Morning.

Community morning

Every year Red Kite staff are given a morning out of the office to help with community projects. This year they were involved with helping at local schools, working with the Chiltern Rangers, painting benches at the sheltered housing schemes, gardening at Lady Ryder Memorial Garden and playing games with dementia patients, plus many more!

Community

John Taylor, Community Ranger with Chiltern Rangers said, “The group were brilliant! We got everything done and hopefully they had a great time in the woods - they seemed to enjoy it!”

Rob Thomas, manager at Missenden Walled Garden, said: “All the Red Kite staff worked really hard, and seemed to enjoy themselves. We have a woodland path project and their help has moved it on a lot faster than we could of on our own.”

Yasmin Harris from Wycombe Youth Action said, “Red Kite painted our offices and it was an absolute pleasure to meet with them. The job has been completed to a very high standard.”

Anne Parmoor at Lady Ryder Memorial Garden said, “The team made a fantastic contribution and worked hard. It is always a pleasure when they come to the garden and it is also great fun.”

Bazgha Sultana, Engagement & Events Coordinator at Red Kite said: “Our Community Morning is one of the popular events that staff and local organisations always look forward to. It is so nice to be out and about helping with projects that benefit the areas we live and work in.”

If you would like some help from the Red Kite team during their next Community Morning please contact Baz via Bazgha.Sultana@redkitehousing.org.uk or call 01494 476318.
