Change to repairs contractor

Our current repairs contract is about to expire so after looking at customer feedback and holding a series of discussions with our Customer and Community Insight Group (CCIG), our Core Procurement Group, senior managers and involved staff from around the organisation our tenants made the decision, backed by the Board, to explore alternatives with small to medium enterprises.
Through provisions we have planned for in the way we arrange our property related works, we are pleased to share we have now appointed Gilmartins and FSG as interim contractors over the next 11 months. During this time we will explore options for a longer-term partnership and continue our planned procurement for a permanent Repairs and Empty Homes contractor.
This is a great opportunity for two local companies that we have worked with over the past few years to show us what they can do, and we are happy to have this chance to work with them. We aim to see what impact we can have on the local economy and employment to help inform our way forward.
Until June 22nd repairs will be carried out by Axis, Gilmartins, FSG and occasionally another of our approved contractors. This includes:
- P Ayling
- Elliot and Jordan
- Sandys Plumbing
After June 22nd customers should only give access to Gilmartins and FSG to carry out repairs.

Customers should always make sure they ask anyone calling at their home to show identification.
We hope that customers are reassured that we have listened to them and this is why we are making changes. In the long-term it will be a huge benefit to them as they will receive the service they deserve; repairs carried out quickly and efficiently.
