Pop Up Business School

9 February 2018

Red Kite Community Housing is offering people in High Wycombe a fantastic opportunity to take part in a FREE business start-up course.

Since 2015 we have given over 50 local residents the opportunity to come on a 12 day workshop to learn how to set up their own business. Our workshops have been a resounding success and as a result a number of our graduates are well on their way to establishing successful local businesses...

This year, Red Kite are taking a new approach to our business start-up course, by working with a new organisation to deliver an opportunity to those in the local area who want to learn how to make money doing what they love!

We are working in partnership with The Pop Up Business School who take a fresh and innovative approach to starting your own business based on passion and practicality. They run an intensive two week course in a town centre location with previous courses they have run having upwards of 60 to 70 participants, and we are hoping to achieve the same in High Wycombe. This year we are running the course at Treatz Dessert Parlour ,1 Oxford Street, High Wycombe, HP11 2DG from the 23rd of April- 4th May, for anyone who lives in the Wycombe District.

Throughout 2017, the Pop Up Business School has helped over 957 people, and enabled 287 businesses to get up and running. They break the mould with their approach to starting your own business, by scrapping the traditional path of making a business plan and applying for grants and loans. They break things down and start from scratch, with unique and empowering workshops such as ‘how to start a business with no money’ and ‘I don’t get twitter’. They coach you through the Pop Up Business School and offer networks of support after the course has finished.

The course is free of charge to anyone who lives locally, although priority will be given to anyone who lives in one of our homes. The course takes place over 10 consecutive days, with a different workshops each week covering how to set up your own successful business.
