Find the job you love with The ToolShed

25 October 2016

Launched in April 2015, ToolShed is a social enterprise who teach construction skills to young people - focusing on self-development, education and employability.

ToolShed have recently just won a funding bid, meaning that they can offer free coaching & workshops all focused on helping young people find the right job.

ToolShed have already delivered this course to plenty of young people to great success. For all the students who have come along to ToolShed so far, it's led to a massive increase in their confidence and motivation. 20% of the attendees who took part in the course were able to leave the house after not having done so for more than more than two years.

This course is open to anyone who is over 19 years old but there are only 30 spaces - so it's first come, first served.

If you know someone who would love to find the right job but doesn't know where to start please email david.lett@newmeaning.co.uk or info@toolshedbucks.co.uk.

According to one ToolShed student: "I've been on lots of courses to help you find a job; they're either boring or tell you what you already know, this one is different. After one session I'd already learnt something & I'm starting to think this might be possible."

You can find out more about how we've supported ToolShed here on our website. To find out more about ToolShed, visit their website.

Launched in April 2015, ToolShed is New Meaning's first Centre, encompassing all of the New Meaning methods and applying them in practice.

" We developed the ToolShed concept to enable young people to discover their rhythm for life by: using their initiative, confidently earning their own living, committing to the people they love and the contributing to a world they cherish." David Lett, Co-founder & Operations Director

At ToolShed we support young people aged 16-24 in their self-development, training, education and employment so that they are able to become positive role models in the community and inspire other young people to take charge of their lives.
