A welcome from Roni

"Hi, I'm Roni, and I'm the Chair of your Resident Representative Team (RRT). We're a group of residents that work together as a key partnership group with Red Kite. We're consulted on key service changes, help to shape decisions, and share our recommendations for consideration with the Red Kite Board. We're all committed to ensuring that we continue to receive great services and that residents remain at the heart of Red Kite.

As Chair of RRT I make sure that the views of residents are shared with staff and the board so that we can truly help shape what the organisation does.

Being part of a community organisation, who have their tenants at the heart at what they do is a great feeling. Most recently I’ve seen how Red Kite has ensured that residents are supported and protected during the COVID-19 crisis, whilst also delivering the key services that are so important to us.

I would encourage anyone who wants to make a positive difference to get involved, and in the meantime you can find out more about the rest of RRT and what we do below.

What we've looked at recently

Over the past year we've looked at a number of areas, from helping to shape the Resident and Community Engagement Strategy, updating our website, as well as working with Red Kite on the annual report for residents. If you haven’t read it yet, please do, it’s a great testament to all the work that Red Kite staff and volunteers have been doing for residents and the community.

What’s on the horizon

We’re really keen to hear from the Feedback Team about the approach we take and the impact of the latest Housing Ombudsman guidance. We’ve invited a member of the team to join us at the next meeting and give us an update. Feedback is so important to Red Kite, and when RRT look at how different service areas are performing, feedback is one of the things that we consider.  

We’ll also be reviewing the ways that residents can get involved to make sure that it works in our new way of working, with much of our activity taking place virtually so we can all remain safe during the current pandemic.
