Developing and growing our talent
Our vision is to realise the potential in our communities. Potential in the people that we live and work with, in such a way that they improve their life chances, have more choices and become more financially independent. As our core purpose, we aim to achieve this everyday and we recognise that to do it as best as we can, we need the right people in our staff to help us get there.
To that end, we are huge advocates of moving people through our organisation where they have the skills and appetite to develop not only themselves, but our business too.
Over the years, we have recruited some brilliant people for roles that they have flourished in, and even more than that, they have demonstrated talents that subsequently matched other opportunities. From recruiting people straight from university who years later are in managerial roles, to people waiting for that special something in an organisation that sees them push themselves to do more.
In a series of personal accounts, we want to share the progress of some of our colleagues to demonstrate that by showing your commitment and really focussing on the positivity you can bring, our motivating culture sees staff regularly make the most of different opportunities.
First up is Todd, who started as a Relationship Advisor (our version of a Customer Service Advisor) who became an Engagement and Volunteering Specialist and is now our Community Investment Manager...all in under three years. And then we have Amy, who had three roles at Red Kite, having come straight from University where she passed her Masters, who left to pursue her original specialism but returned to us shortly after, when a perfect new opportunity came up.
