Repairs make up the biggest service area for Red Kite and are one of the most important - who doesn’t want their repair done as quickly and efficiently as possible? That’s why for this role we need someone who can deliver an excellent repairs service to our tenants’ homes.
Now is a great time to be part of a step-change in our service delivery, we are looking at how we change our offer to residents and leaseholders in delivering our repairs service, utilising new technologies and refreshing old ways old of working. With this in mind, we’re looking for a ‘people person’ to take on the role of Technical Officer focussing on a range of community repairs, and when required low level cyclical programmes and asset related projects.
In this role, you’ll be expected to provide an effective, responsive and customer-led service with our contracting partners for responsive repairs and minor project works. You’ll keep a close eye on the quality of our services and work to ensure that tenants and leaseholders inspire and influence the design, delivery and outcome of everything we do.
Providing technical repairs support, you’ll be involved in site visits, work inspections, investigating complaints. It’ll be your duty to make sure you utilise your diagnostic capability and organisational ability to make improvements to the service, ensuring excellent relationships between contractors, and all other internal and external stakeholders.
We’re looking for a flexible, approachable and confident character who has a clear grasp of the improvement and maintenance requirements facing housing associations. Ideally you’ll have previous experience within the social housing/maintenance sector and will be keen to work well with tenants and leaseholders.
Candidates should possess a relevant qualified background (BTech/HNC/CIOB/RICS /ONC) or equivalent or proven relevant experience, along with practical knowledge of health and safety and the skills to manage builders and contractors. It’s also important that you are commercially aware and have good project management skills.
