Compliance Co-ordinator (fixed term contract – 6 months)

Salary: £28,000 pro rata (37 hours a week)

As a Social Landlord there is nothing more important than keeping our customers healthy and safe. In part, we achieve this by maintaining compliance with statutory legislation and industry best practice and ensuring that our responsibilities are delivered effectively and in a timely manner. From gas servicing to asbestos inspections, this is an area that includes great variety and there is never a dull moment!!

This is an exciting new role and now is a great time to be part of a step-change in our service delivery. We are all about enhancing the delivery of our services, utilising new technologies and introducing new, better ways of working.

With this in mind, we’re looking for a confident, organised and extremely proactive person to take on the role of Compliance Co-ordinator. To be successful, you will be committed to providing first class support for staff that deal with all aspects of compliance, liaise with customers and contractors on compliance related matters, and work collaboratively with staff in other stems to effectively and efficiently deal with complaints and compliments.

Importantly, you will utilise your skills to detect fluctuations in contractors’ performance by analysing performance data and making recommendations to managers about what improvements are needed.

In addition to monitoring our external partners’ delivery, you will provide an essential support function across all areas of compliance related work. We need a gem who will ensure that the team functions smoothly and that everyone is “in the right place at the right time” as well as co-ordinate stem functions, such as training events and team meetings. You will definitely be an expert in juggling conflicting priorities and diaries and of course, ensuring that we stay 100% compliant!

We’re looking for a flexible, approachable and confident character with a clear grasp of the improvement and compliance requirements facing housing associations (ideally with experience within the social housing/ servicing and maintenance sector although this is not essential).
