Current use:

This building is a former sheltered scheme which is surplus to our requirement. All of our tenants has been offered alternative accommodation elsewhere and so the building is empty except for property guardians who live in some of the homes to keep an eye on the building.

Proposed use:

We are proposing to remodel the internal spaces on the existing blocks on Blind Lane and Roman Way whilst demolishing and rebuilding the central link building. The external appearance of the building will be refurbished to give a modern contemporary feel and provide 21 new 1 and 2 bedroom homes.

It is proposed the homes will be advertised for market rent and any profit used to help subsidise new affordable homes that we plan to build in the district over the coming years.

Wycombe District Council Residential Design Guidance

Next stage:

Unfortunately, our proposal has been refused planning permission by Wycombe District Council. Our architect has revised the scheme and another planning submission was made to Wycombe District Council at the end of December 2018.
