Get involved - help us improve

You may or may not be aware that there is an Interest Group for Red Kite leaseholders, that helps shape and improve the services that we deliver to you. Some of the issues they have discussed and decided on on in the last six months are:

• The ‘Your Service Charges Explained’ booklet
• Redesign of the annual service charge statement
• Agreement of leasehold service standards
• Comment on the Red Kite section 20 Leasehold Consultation procedure
• Suggestion of leasehold focussed news articles for Red Kite News
• Ground maintenance contract consultation

We recognise that not everybody is able to attend meetings due to work and family commitments. We think that more people might want to have the opportunity to hear about the work of the group or contribute to discussions if we look at alternative ways of communicating and meeting.

We are considering running a virtual Leaseholder Interest Group whose members would receive and comment on documents via email. This would give leaseholders the opportunity to comment and participate without the need to attend a formal meeting. We would continue to hold a physical meeting for those who could attend but reduce the frequency to quarterly or six monthly.

We will be entering into a number of contracts in the near future and carrying out work to properties which leaseholders will have to pay a proportion of the cost.
