About us

We're a tenant-led, not-for-profit, charitable housing association and we own and manage more than 6,500 homes in the Wycombe district. Our tenants and leaseholders are our customers and have an important role in making sure that we remain truly tenant-led through everything we do.

We're a social landlord and do all the things you would expect us to do, but there is a lot more to us, including our new companies that have been set up to offer rents that are based on a person's ability to pay, and to build more homes.

The Red Kite Group

Our Group structure has been set up to deliver the big and exciting plans we have for the future. We have the financial resources to deliver and have a great innovative leadership and staff team to realise our goals.

The Red Kite Group is comprised of the following companies:

Red Kite Community Housing

A charitable company offering a range of social housing homes across the Wycombe district, and our core housing business.

Twenty11

The first company of its kind in our sector, providing a fresh way of letting and managing homes. Twenty11 allows us to offer a fair housing solution by tailoring rents to individual affordability, and by providing a model that allows customers at all income levels to develop and realise their own personal aspirations through dedicated help and support.

Edenmead

A company that allows us to develop private homes for sale and gift back surplus to support the delivery of greater numbers of affordable homes.

Our vision

To realise the potential in our communities. Read about our corporate journey.

Our mission

Together we will:

  • Provide excellent quality affordable homes to the highest standards
  • Work to ensure responsive, value for money services that deliver successful outcomes and
    are transparent
  • Develop new and creative ways of working that respect all views, benefit communities and
encourage involvement at a local level.

Our values

  • Partnership: We cannot achieve our purpose alone, or as individuals acting alone. We want to work with others who share our purpose and values. Our tenants, volunteers and staff work together to achieve success.
  • Respect: We value everyone and seek to enable every individual to realise their potential.
  • Pride: We strive always to be the best we can, learning from our mistakes and celebrating our successes.

Our homes

Our homes are mainly on estates in the urban centres of High Wycombe, Princes Risborough and Marlow, with others on estates in rural areas such as Lane End, Stokenchurch and Bourne End. We have a number of sheltered housing schemes which are located across the district.

Our rules

Just like any other organisation, we work within a set of rules to make sure we do business properly. These business rules set out the framework for an organisation so that it works in line with the law and takes into account the legal obligations it has.

Bonds

We do not issue to the public bonds or any other financial instruments to finance our spending, investment or development programmes.
